little spaces: Buckley's room

Mummy blogger, Becca Hardesty of life at 1521, gives us a second tour, this time of her youngest son, Buckley's room. You can find big brothers here.

"Buck's room is pretty small so we wanted to leave the walls white, while bringing in color with the accessories. The red shelf is a nice pop of color and, while it was kind of a bold move, we really love it. Both of the boys rooms are such happy places to be in, but also feel relaxing at the same time. My mom saved all of the old Fisher Price toys that we used to play with and now my boys get to play with them. The owl clock really feels like functional art and it looks so perfect in his room. I love that he will be able to grow into his room without us needing to change much"

little spaces: rowan & brinley's room

Shaynah from Pirates and peonies, shares her boys shared room this week.

"A very bright and welcoming space. It was originally influenced by our many parks and forests here in Minnesota. This rustic room is filled with nostalgic and modern touches. We used the boys' toys and accessories to bring color and life to the neutral walls and furniture. Since it is a shared space we wanted it to represent each boy, and help make it feel their own. I love the use of Rowan and Brinley's treasured personal items that help tie each area together. It is all very practical and functional."

Thanks for sharing, Shaynah. I especially love the fact they share both a room and bed.

little spaces: Crew's room

Black walls! I'm in love with these black walls that 6 year old, Crew gets to chalk on daily. This room in Brittany's 1950's remodelled house in North Carolina, is both playful and sophisticated and just open to adventure. I'm a big fan of teepees in the bedroom and this house in habit one is perfect for a wild thing.

Creative mum, Nashara, behind the blog 'life love laughter' has created quite the tranquil  little space in Tiburon, California for newly turned two year old, William. I love the subtle safarit theme, with some personal touches, like the photos from their honeymoon in Africa. The pops of colour really add a nice touch to such a calming and modern environment.

little spaces: Bennett's room

Mummy blogger, Becca Hardesty of life at 1521, gives us a tour of her son, Bennett's room for this week's little spaces. Here's a little bit about the design and inspiration.

"This is 3 year old Bennett's room. His is the only room in the house where we put a color on the wall. Since his shelf is white, we felt like his room needed something to really define the space. The grey painted partially up the wall works to draw the ceiling up and helps to make his room feel larger.  Bennett loves books and has a ton of them. I love that all of his books and toys are right at his level...the Expedit shelf is really great for that, while still being able to hide away larger toys in the drawers. He loves to lounge and read books in his tent and also likes to listen to books on CD and color at his little table"

little spaces: Benjamin's nursery

This is what your nursery would look like if your mum is the talented artist, Adriane Duckworth.  Also, you can see the wonderful little play nook that was created in the living area.

"This room has gone through some changes since we first designed it when we were expecting him, and it will surely go through more changes as time goes on. We try to keep the colour scheme fairly neutral and monochromatic, while including lots of pops of colour through toys and accessories. I plan on painting this room white soon (it's currently a very pale blue) and I may paint the ceiling black, but we'll see!"
