week/end is a collection of inspirational spark & cheer for the weekend, all nestled together.
"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells" - Dr. Seuss
On the weekend list: As I just posted on The Weekend Waffle, not much! You know the times when you're on the non-stop GO? That has been this month and as I wrap things up - time to chill. I'm still inspired though and thinking my boys' room needs some sprucing up. Here's my inspiration for the week..Have a wonderful weekend!
If you have a child you know what a winner the cardboard box is. Tried & true. So I love this take on a cardboard box house! It's fun, functional and pretty project you could whip up in a very short amount of time.

Working within a simple color palette, Goatmilk has created a beautiful collection of clothing & underwear rich in subtle texture and thoughtful designs. I love the pointelles and stripes and sweet baby tank one pieces.
Shop the Goatmilk collection.
Ferm Living is a total winner & we're big fans here at fawn&forest. One of my favorite pieces from their new 2012 collection is the little Tigers!
Welcome to part 2 of the Remender Home Tour! Last week you got a peek into Edie's room. This week? A moment in her little brother Tommy's bedroom/nursery.
So peaceful. The white spaces are great, uncluttered. Yet, color. I love the bits of color here and there. And you know Tommy and sister Edie haul those books off the shelf on a daily basis. Peacefully lived in.

Forest Finds are back, friends! Some of you may remember our special feature category from the 'old f&f. It launched in summer of 2008 with a handful of independent designers & craftspeople and quickly became one of the most anticipated & popular spots in our shop.
And now? Back by popular demand, a brand new batch of Forest Finds! For the months of July, August & September we will be featuring 3 amazing, thoughtful and genuine companies.
Goatmilk :: Organic clothing and "under wear"
Beck to Nature :: Heirloom crafted wood furniture & organic cotton play blocks for kids.
Kooroo :: Beautifully made ceramic animal banks. Total keepsakes.
I am super excited. In the coming weeks keep your eye out for designer interviews & other fun Forest Finds treats (like... a giveaway?!)
fawn&forest is featured today on Daily Candy Kids as one of their favorite online kids' boutiques! How great is that?
Daily Candy said why they love fawn&forest:
"If you want a modern nursery but aren’t sure where to start, this is the place. With the design-conscious selection of cribs, changers, and decor, you can’t make a wrong choice. "

I've been a babywear-er from the get go. I have 3 sons (oldest is 6, youngest is 2) and have happily toted them around for most of their first year of life.
The Sakura Bloom ring sling is by far my favorite sling. I love the color and fabric options and the sling itself... Oh so comfortable.

If you're in need of a simple toddler activity and have just a pinch of know-how, a pair of toddler stilts is a fun project... and would keep those little guys busy for a few hours, at least!
